Missy the second....

It's been a while since I have posted on Pretty Little Heads. Love Lily Dot has been taking up my time and preventing me from designing new pieces.

I am currently working on an order and whilst doing so, I realised how much I miss making my designs in wire and beading.

After working a lot with felt lately, picking up my wire and working with swarovski crystals and pearls feels like a real luxury. Don't get me wrong I love working with my felt designs, but there is something lovely about a luxurious item.
I think some new designs may be following soon!!

I also realise that I didn't post about my change to my Missy hairpin. I just wasn't happy with her, so after a few days or twisting and tweeking..... I introduce to you Missy the second!!

Beautiful Bride - Kat

For some time now I have been meaning to Blog about the lovely Kat and Mo, who I first posted about when I started this blog.
Kat and Mo were married in Sydney, Australia last December and Kat kindly asked me to design and make her Tiara and hairpins.
Finally I am so pleased to be able to share the photographs with you and show you how wonderful they both looked....

LoveLilyDot....

This is one of my new projects.
'LoveLilyDot' is my company selling handmade felt head pieces. I wanted to make some pieces that sat well alongside my Bridal head pieces. As a young child my mama introduced me to the flower fairies and I thought they were magical. 30 or so years down the line they have inspired me to produce hair pretties for bridesmaids and at the same time produce some everyday pieces for the little girls out there who like to have a little sweetness in their hair!

For the bridesmaids...
Felt flowers in hues of pale pink and cream...ready to be attached to a headband....

In hues of purple and cream....

Pale blue and cream.....

Felt hydrangea ready to be attached to a headband...

Or attached to a piece of ribbon to be worn as a felt corsage...

And for everyday prettiness....

Felt hydrangea in hues of pink on an elastic headband. If you head on over to my LoveLilyDot Facebook page now and 'LIKE' the page you can be in with a chance to win the felt hydrangea headband!

A work in progress.....

Lets not forget the Bridesmaids........

Along with my bridal pieces I have been working on some felt pieces for the bridesmaids....

This is just waiting to be stitched onto a headband...pretty hues of pale pink and cream....but that will not be the only colour option.......

Hues of purple and cream.....

and pale blue and cream..... this could be made in any colour required to match in with your colour scheme.

This felt piece which has been made to resemble hydrageas, can either be atached to a headband....

Or atached to a piece of ribbon to be worn as a corsage on the wrist.

Working on a little something new.

I have felt a little uninspired of late with my head pieces....but then a sweet little something got my mind thinking......

I saw these beautiful hydrangeas and the delicateness of them made me think of beading work.....time to get on with some designing I think.

Lillian

Lillian is my latest piece from 'The Enchanted Garden' collection.
Hand made glass leaves grouped together to give a grecian feel, with white swarovski pearls and crystals in clear and clear satin.
Entwined onto a headband covered with a silver lame ribbon.

This can also be made in gold. The leaves would still be made with clear glas beads, but the pearls would be cream, the wire gold and the ribbon covered band would also be gold.

Missy.....

Missy is a design that I have been working on over the past few weeks .I wanted to make something that wasn't too big and would add a little touch of glamour to any hairstyle.

Missy is a Swarovski pearl flower, surrounded by glass leaves and sprays of swarovski crystals in clear and clear satin with Swarovski pearls, entwined onto a silver hairpin.
This piece can be made with cream pearls and twisted onto gold wire on a gold pin if prefered.
